Annenberg/CPB Video on Demand

NETCHE member Wayne State College is now hosting Annenberg/CPB video on demand (VoD). This allows Nebraska users fast access to hundreds of series from the Annenberg/CPB collection, such as the popular “Discovering Psychology, “The Western Tradition” and “Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish,” as well as professional development workshops for teachers in all discipline areas. With VoD, you can watch the Annenberg/CPB videos at any time. You can also skip around within a video when watching a VoD video. To access video on demand, go to and search or browse for a series that is of interest to you. Look for the VoD icon next to the individual program titles. Click on the VoD icon, and you will be prompted to register or to login for the first time only. There is no fee to register. All registrations from the state of Nebraska will be directed to the server at Wayne State College.

At, you can search programs by discipline, grade or keyword. You can also link to Web sites coordinated to the video series. To hear the sound and view video, you should have Windows Media Player and have JavaScript enabled. The Windows Media Player format was chosen for a variety of reasons. Primary among them is that it is a widely accessible format. The viewer is free, and it works on both PC and Mac platforms.
