Title:   " Gifted Child, The "

Every teacher eventually encounters the gifted child. Talent, however, appears in many forms and the classroom teacher, in order to teach all of the students, must be able to identify high potential youngsters. In many instances the identification of the gifted youngster is as simple as an I.Q. test. But I.Q. tests aren't the only means of identifying gifted children. According to Dr. Bish, gifted children have many common characteristics. The creative child will generally have a gift for originality and the kind of innovative thinking that produces not only artists and writers, but inventors, research scientists and architects.
