The emotional aftermath of sexual abuse remains with most children forever, concludes When Will It Stop Hurting? The 49-minute program is a combination of victim statements and responses by social service professionals. It looks at sexual abuse in children and how these young victims should be emotionally supported by those around them. The lesson begins with a discussion among adult
survivors, led by Dr. Tony Jurich, Clinical Director of Marriage and Family Therapy at Kansas State University. The second part of
the lesson is a panel of social service professionals providing information and solutions to the problems presented in the survivors' discussion. When Will It Stop Hurting? is an emotionally charged lesson that directly faces the child sexual abuse issue. It was produced in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Social Services.
